The installation consists of an automatic infeed table, the 4-head corner crimping press, and an automatic outfeed table. The machine is operated via an industrial PC with touch screen and a wireless barcode scanner. It can be controlled by all common calculation and production software.

The operator can select the profile type and input the dimensions of the element to be crimped directly on the screen. Alternatively, barcodes can be scanned for fully automatic operation. The machine automatically adjusts itself: the conveyors, press heads, and press knives move to their correct positions without manual intervention.

The operator places the element on the infeed table against the reference stop. From there, it is automatically transported to the 4-head corner press, where all four corners are crimped simultaneously within a maximum cycle time of one minute. The machine is available in different sizes, up to 6,500 x 3,500 mm. It can also be used in single-head or double-head mode. The press knives are suitable for all profile types and never need to be exchanged. Multiple profile types and series can be processed in mixed order without any changeover times. An unlimited number of programs for different profiles can be stored, and production data can be monitored through the machine control.

After crimping, the element is automatically transferred to the outfeed table. The corners remain free from the conveyor belts, allowing easy cleaning.

The 4-head corner crimping press can be combined with a gasket insertion machine and/or an automatic buffer and sorting system for crimped elements. After corner cleaning, the element is automatically conveyed to the next machine.
