Vorsselmans – Productivity and Flexibility with 4-Head Crimping Machine

Vorsselmans had already invested in several cutting and machining centers for aluminum profiles, but corner crimping was still done in a traditional, manual way. Working with different profile systems, the operator had to change the blades multiple times a day. This not only caused significant time loss but also required specific operator knowledge.

After visiting another manufacturer already using a 4-head crimping machine from Tryma, Vorsselmans decided to take the step. In consultation with Tryma, a proposal was prepared and the machine was purchased. After just three days of installation, the new setup was operational.

The machine is divided into three zones, allowing continuous, flowing operation. While one element is being crimped, the next element can be placed on the feeding table, and a previously crimped element can be cleaned at the output side. Thanks to barcode control, the heads and blades automatically move to the correct position based on both the element’s dimensions and profile types.

The installation led to a significant increase in productivity and unprecedented flexibility. All profile systems can now be processed together without changing blades. Vorsselmans is ready to produce faster and more efficiently, with less reliance on the operator’s specialized knowledge.
