Emac - Unique Cutting System for PVC Glazing Beads
At our client Emac in Wallonia, we installed a unique cutting system for PVC glazing beads. Thanks to the automatically rotatable worktable of the saw, all cutting angles between 20° and 160° can be achieved. This allows the client to cut Schüco glazing beads at a miter angle and Deceuninck glazing beads at a 90° straight angle without manual adjustments.

This installation consists of a gripper for the automatic feeding of glazing beads to the saw, a saw with a servo-controlled rotatable worktable for cutting at various angles, and an automatic output table. The cutting lists are sent online via the network to the machine’s PC. The machine is equipped with a universal clamping system, so no specific support blocks are needed to secure the glazing beads. Optionally, a wireless measuring rod can also be used.
