ALU DB - Unique Sawing Installation for Aluminium Glazing Beads
ALU DB wanted to improve its process for cutting aluminium glazing beads. The manual method took too much time, resulted in too many errors, and was not safe for the operator. A new solution was needed that could combine speed, accuracy, and safety.

Tryma installed a fully automatic sawing installation at ALU DB – the only one of its kind. The automatic saw is connected to the electronic length stop. The lengths of the glazing beads are measured with a digital measuring rod, and the data is then sent wirelessly to the PC of the length stop. The program then generates a cutting list so that all glazing beads can be cut efficiently to size. The stop automatically positions itself to the correct length, the glazing bead is pneumatically clamped, and the saw blade rises automatically for a perfectly straight cut.
Thanks to this unique installation, cutting results are error-free and consistent, production speed is significantly higher, and operator safety is guaranteed.
