At Polyclose, Tryma will showcase to its customers the wide range of automation possibilities for the production of windows and doors. Highlights at our booth will include a robot for hardware installation, a gasket insertion machine, and an automatic buffer system for windows and doors.

Robotics as a Solution

“The shortage of skilled workers remains a major issue. We see it everywhere, and it’s not something that can easily be solved,” says Jasper Neirynck, Managing Director of Tryma Belgium. “Not only is there a lack of qualified personnel, but rising labor costs and an aging workforce are also challenges our customers across the Benelux are facing.”

Currently, most window and door production is still carried out in a traditional way. Compared to the automotive industry, robotics adoption remains limited. “Although many of our customers have already invested in fully automated sawing and machining centers, there is still significant room for productivity improvement after these processes. This is exactly where Tryma can play an important role,” Neirynck explains.

“It is our responsibility to think along with our customers, provide tailored advice, and support them in automation. We see that companies lose a lot of time with logistical tasks such as picking up, storing, and searching for products. By automating these activities, valuable time can be redirected to actual production. At Tryma, we aim to ensure that one operator can independently carry out all tasks at a workstation. This not only increases efficiency but also improves ergonomics, reducing physical strain, making work more enjoyable, and ultimately lowering healthcare costs. The lighter the tasks, the smaller the risk of employee absence due to physical complaints.”

Tryma also applies robotics in the assembly of elements. After welding or pressing, elements are automatically stored in a buffer and sorting system. They are then transported by distribution carts to the correct workstation or machine. For example, Tryma integrates robotic systems for the automatic installation of hardware on frames or sashes, as well as for the insertion of gaskets into elements.

Tailor-Made Machines from Tryma Poland

“To optimally meet the needs and budgets of different companies, we have recently established Tryma Poland. Our goal is to design and manufacture our own specialized solutions for workshop setups,” says Neirynck. “We create customer layouts by integrating both manual and automatic transport and buffer systems. In addition, we advise on the best process layout and, where required, also supply the necessary control software.”

Although robotics is still often seen as a future concept, much is already possible today. “Our goal is not merely to sell machines, but to provide companies with working solutions. That’s why we warmly invite visitors at Polyclose to request a free consultation, where we can explore all possibilities together. At the trade fair, we will also demonstrate how we can optimize the production process,” Neirynck concludes.
